Keeping The Welcombe Hills Special

The town’s love for The Welcombe Hills was very much evident when they came together to defeat the plans for building a large housing development on Rowley Fields. The fields hold a very special place in our hearts.

For those who want to continue to help in a more hands on way there’s an opportunity to roll your sleeves up and really get involved.  As many of you know the national park that is The Welcombe Hills is owned by Stratford District Council but is actually managed by the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust (WWT)

WWT are looking for some regular volunteers to help manage the area and if you think you might be interested then they are running a few taster mornings so that you can get an idea of how you can help keep this extraordinary local treasure in tip top condition.

The first taster session is Tomorrow morning. Please see information below from George Green, the officer in charge of The Welcombe Hills.  Please contact him directly – his details are at the bottom.
